Project career HR factory

Project career of Daniel Möbus at HR factory

Anyone looking at my professional career may be taken aback at first glance - and yet it feels very coherent to me. I didn't start out in HR. I studied politics and psychology, then worked in the public and social sectors. There I read more CVs, analyzed profiles and conducted more interviews than I ever expected. Looking back, that was the starting point of my journey into recruiting - even if I didn't realize it at the time.

And after nearly six years, I can say: That feeling has been confirmed. I like the fact that no day is like any other, I constantly learn new things and thanks to HR factory and the project work I have the opportunity, to get to know a wide variety of company structures – and really behind the scenes to take a look.

From chance find to profession

Over time, the desire to pursue this area professionally grew stronger. This eventually led me to in-house recruiting. After two positions and a total of four and a half years there, the desire for new perspectives grew: other industries, other company sizes, other teams. So I applied to HR Factory - and was accepted.

First project: HR development in the Munich retail sector

The mixture of direct interaction with employees, special tasks for HR management and a varied daily routine has helped me enormously - both professionally and personally.

New projects, new insights

After a short project break - time to reflect and get to know potential project customers - I started my second project: again in recruiting, this time in a medium-sized company in the solar industry.

The new target group was particularly exciting: engineers. A completely different world to anything I had known before.

In addition to recruiting, I was able to get a taste of other HR areas - from contract creation and administration to organizing a Welcome Day and working on a skills matrix. Each task broadened my view of HR a little.

What I have learned along the way

In in-house recruiting, I often had the feeling that certain challenges were unique. The project work proved me wrong: many HR issues arise in almost all sectors - from the design of recruitment processes to the application of the German Pay Transparency Act. What differs is how they are dealt with. And that's what makes it exciting.

I have also learned a lot about myself. The phases between projects give me space to reflect: What role am I currently playing? What does the customer need from me at this moment? These questions have helped me professionally and personally.

What I enjoy most about my job

Clearly: the variety.

Although many HR topics are similar at first glance, the key differences lie in the details. Every company brings with it new questions, new perspectives and new learning moments. In addition, there are changing work locations and teams, which allows me to continuously expand my network.

This diversity makes every day exciting - and that's exactly what I love about my job.
