AMELY TALKS ABOUT HER PROJECT CAREER AT HR FACTORY

THIS IS HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Coming from management consulting, with a focus on HR & Change, and HR consulting, with a focus on Engineering & IT, I joined HR factory in 2019. Since then, I have combined my previously gained experience with the advantages of the diversity of the project business. I am on the road as a sparring partner for our clients in various forms of recruiting and am always gathering new experiences and impressions.

MY PROJECT CAREER AT HR FACTORY

Project 1: Engineering in aviation

In my first project, I got to know the highly complex world of turbines and was responsible for the end-to-end recruiting for the manufacturing area. In some cases, I also provided support in the area of maintenance. Later, logistics was added to my area of responsibility.

Every time I walked through the metalworking halls, my eyes lit up with excitement. I was particularly proud of our most developed technology area: the most automated hall in Europe.

This project was the first time I gained experience in a corporate group and not only worked with the departments I was responsible for, but also with the works council.

Project 2: Complex IT systems in space travel

In my second project, I was able to get to know another very fascinating field: satellite technology. This was my first time working on an international level.

In this project, I was able to use my skills from management consulting by providing consulting support to improve recruiting processes in addition to international direct search. Also, I prepared and conducted international training courses on the topic of “recruiting: From the advertisement to the selection of suitable applicants”, which I really enjoyed.

Project 3: Electrical engineering and electronics

In my third project, I supported our internal active sourcing team with customers on a national and international level. Here, I was mainly responsible for the support of an electronics customer in Hamburg, with a particularly broad business field that I had not seen before, with a solution to offer “everything from a single source”:

The customer offers support in the form of services in all external product development cycles of its customers, from its own manufacturing areas, such as internal design, manufacturing & assembly, a tool shop, as well as the area of assemblies and switching elements, and its own plastics and hot melt area, including its own chemists for polymer materials.

My tasks, besides active sourcing and the first pre-screening interviews with the candidates, were to advise my main contacts and to accompany them throughout the process up to the hiring of the suitable candidates.

Project 4: IT environment for leisure and experiences

I am currently fresh into my fourth project as a Tech Recruiter. I am thus responsible for the international end-to-end recruiting of our client’s IT departments with the business field of the experience world and am currently soaking up all new impressions. We are about to launch an exciting major recruiting campaign where I get to act as one of the contacts for the agency.

In addition to my main recruiting tasks, I also work on strategic topics such as onboarding. There are also one or the other internal training is already planned.

RESUME

Due to the alternating projects, I have been able to get to know exciting impressions and interesting people as well as companies. I particularly like the opportunity to dive into new topics and industries and, in addition to day-to-day operations, to add value for our customers in an advisory capacity.

I am also grateful for the diversity of the various processes that I am able to get to know and expand my horizons, and I look forward to many more customer projects. Another very important point – if not the most important: I also fully identify with the values we live by in the company and all the great colleagues in our project house.
